What is Boxercise?
Boxercise began in the UK in 1992 based upon training principles that have existed for over two hundred years. Boxercise training has developed age old training principles and adapted them to form a fun, addictive, safe, stress busting workout suitable for all ages and levels of ability.
Boxercise combines boxing and exercise in great fun, stress busting activity to suit everyone who wants to enjoy boxing training without getting hit! There are over 1.2 Million people in the UK taking Boxercise Classes or doing Boxercise with their Personal Trainer. Boxercise is one of the most effective forms of cross-training available today. It combines use of both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the systematic recruitment of both fast and slow twitch muscle fibres in a manner that not only ensures a diverse workout, but also enhances sports specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing. Boxercise classes are always fun, energetic and addictive.

It focuses on upper body conditioning, working the arms, abs, chest and shoulders. It also includes some lower body exercises in the kick boxing area and increases your fitness levels.
The classes are done in time to popular music songs and include work with pads and speedballs, along with circuit training and skipping.
